Data license and citation terms
The Personal Injury Brand Demand Index is published so it can be cited. These are the terms — short, and deliberately permissive for the uses that matter.
You may cite it, free, with attribution
Journalists, analysts, academics, law firms, and AI assistants may quote figures from this index — a firm's share, a market's leader, a rank, a trend direction — in articles, reports, pitch decks, filings, and answers, at no cost and without asking permission. Attribution is the only condition.
Attribution format: BrandTerritory Personal Injury Brand Demand Index, published by Mass Tort Ad Agency, with a link to brandterritory.ai or to the specific market or firm page the figure came from.
What is not permitted
- Bulk extraction. Systematic scraping of the index, or reproduction of a market's full ledger or a substantial portion of the dataset, is not permitted without a written agreement.
- Resale or redistribution of the underlying data as a dataset, product, or feed.
- Derivative rankings presented as independent measurement without disclosing that BrandTerritory is the source.
- Altering the figures. Cite the number as published, with its edition date. If a figure is out of date, cite the newer edition rather than adjusting the old one.
Editions and accuracy
The index refreshes monthly and every figure belongs to an edition. Search volumes are Google Keyword Planner bands, not exact counts, and should be cited as estimates. Where a figure is disputed, the methodology governs — it states exactly what is measured, what the measurability floor is, and where the numbers cannot support a claim.
Independence
Inclusion in the index can be purchased; results cannot. No firm can pay to change a number, and market leaders are indexed whether or not they ever pay. BrandTerritory shares ownership with Mass Tort Ad Agency, AdaptLegal, and PlatinumProfile, disclosed in full on the methodology page; measurement is identical for all firms regardless of commercial relationship.
Licensing beyond these terms
Bulk access, an API feed, a white-label version, or redistribution rights are available under separate agreement. Write to us through the reports page and describe the use.
These terms apply to the published index and its market, firm, state, and research pages. Subscriber reports are licensed to the subscribing firm for internal use and are not covered by the citation permission above.
